단순 과거: 일정 시간 경과된 과거

현재 완료: 방금 일어난 일, 지금도 영향을 끼치고 있을때, 경험, 등

 

A: Hey! Why do you have paint all over your shirt?

B: I've been painting my room.

A: Ooh! I've painted my room before too. How long have you been painting?

B: Like today? It's been three hours. It's my first time today.

 

I finished my project. / I finished my project yesterday. / I've finally finished my project.

I lost my phone yesterday. (잃어버렸고, 다시 찾음)

I've lost my phone. (최근에 잃어버린 상태에서)

I took a shower. (샤워는 p.p. 사용 안 함) -> I just got out of the shower. (방금 샤워했어)

I ate[had] lunch. (p.p. 사용 안 함)

 

Do you cook? - Yeah, I do. I've been cooking for ten years. (기간과 함께 사용하여 강조)

 

Did you ~ ?  일반적, 벌써 했어야 한다는 뉘앙스

Have you ~ ? 아직 할 수 있는 가능성이 있는 느

Have you done the dishes?

Did you do the dishes?

 

Did you watch the game last night?

 

Have you call him?

Did you call him?

 

Did you watch Terminator 2? (당연히 봤어야 하는) 

Have you watch ... (오래돼서 못 봤을 수 있을 사람에게 물을때)

 

been there, done that. 다 겪어 봤다. have been, have done 의 줄임말.

A: It was hard because I didn't know the culture and the language.

B: Yeah, been there, done that.

A: Oh, really? You went to the army, too?
