1. (긍정)애를 쓰다

Thanks for going out of your way to help me.

He always goes out of his way. 그는 항상 애를 써서 도와준다

 

2. (부정) 굳이 애쓸 필요 없다

You don't have to go out of your way to make her feel not welcome.

 

You didn't have to do all that. 그렇게까지 할 필요 없었잖아

I don't know if you had to do (all) that. 나는 왜 네그 그것을 해야 했는지 모르겠어

That was (so) unnecessary. 그것은 불필요한 일이었다.

Why in the world did you do that? / Why would you do that? 도대체 ~ / 왜 그런 짓을 한거야?
