* sip

((홀짝홀짝)'조금씩 천천히 마시다'. 무언가를 한모금 마신다: take a sip)

Are you okay? Have some lavender tea. Go on. Take a sip.

A: Hey, can I have a sip?

B: Sure. Just don't put your mouth on it.

 

*  slurp

(비격식. '후루룩 소리를 내며 먹다')

I understand it's hot, but you should try to avoid slurping your food, dear.



*  gulp (down)

('벌컥벌컥 마시다', '꿀꺽 삼키다'. swallow의 강조 표현. 꿀꺽 소리를 낼때: "gulp gulp")

He gulped down a piece of pizza in 5 seconds.

A: Be careful. It's hot. Sip it slowly.
