-ed 성격, 특징을 나타냄

-ing 영향을 주어 감정을 유발시킴

 

A: The lecture was confusing. I didn't get it.

B: Yeah, I'm so confused too.

A: Which part was the most confusing?

B: The whole thing in general.

 

Confusing lectures make students confused.

I'm so tired! This is very tiring!

The movie was (very) interesting.

If you want people interested, you have to be interesting.

 

You have to be interesting and be interested in them.

It's really relaxing. / This is so relaxing. / Ah, I'm so relaxed.

The statue looks bored/boring.

I was so annoyed. / He was so annoying. / It was so annoying.

 

get / got / getting + -ing/-ed

 

- get (단순 현재 사실)

It gets boring after thirty minutes.

She gets bored of guys easily.

My dog gets excited when I sing.

I get bored quickly when something is not exciting.

 

- getting (슬슬 ~되고 있는)

It's getting boring.

Hey, let's go home. I'm getting tired.

This is getting annoying!

 

- got (과거)

The game was so boring. I stopped playing it. I got bored of it.

 

Hey! It was getting boring in that room.

Hey! It got boring in that room.

Hey! It was boring in that room.

 

to embarrass / embarassing / embarrassed

You always embarrass me! / This is embarrassing. / You're embarrassing me. / I'm embarrassed.

 

(첫 데이트 상황)

A: I hope I'm not boring you.

B: Don't only boring people get bored?

A: Haha. More importantly, what happened to us if we never get bored?

B: I guess we'll have no emotions and won't appreciate fun.

 

(계속 재미없는 이야기를 한 상황)

A: Okay. What did you do last night?

B: If you aren't bored already, this is the really boring part. I was watching a movie, and it was so boring. 

   So I played some games but then got bored again.
