* tap

'(가볍게) 톡톡 두드리다' 또는 '치다'

I felt a tap on my shoulder. When I turned around, I saw this pretty girl. She asked for directions.

Tap on the three dots and tap "Open in Utube."

 

* knock

'(문 등을) 똑똑 소리 내 두드리다'

Knocking is a basic etiquette before going inside a room.

Knock before you come in, please.

Knock, knock.

 

* pat 

'쓰다듬다', '토닥거리다'

It's so fluffy! It feels like I'm patting a dog.

When somebody chokes on something, pat their backs. 누군가 사레가 들렸을 땐 등을 두드려라

 

<Today's Situation>

A: (yawning) I couldn't sleep a wink last night.

B: Why? Are you okay? What happened?

A: There was this knocking noise coming from the wall.

B: Maybe it was the rain tapping on the window? It was raining cats and dogs yesterday.
